• Catalog and public preset metadata.Preset listings (titles, descriptions, ratings, download counts, categories, sound metadata, and media URLs) are generally provided for browsing and are not "personal data" about you unless you are identified as an author in the content itself.
• Locally stored data on your device. Features such as creating or editing presets may store drafts or preferences in your browser (for example, using local storage). That data remains on your device unless you explicitly submit it to our servers. You can clear it through your browser settings.

• Contract and pre-contract - to respond to inquiries you initiate and to provide the Service you request.

Messages you send through contact forms are retained for the time needed to fulfil your request and for any subsequent legal retention periods. Aggregated or anonymised statistics may be kept without a fixed end date.

No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure; you share information at your own risk to the extent inherent in using the web.

The Sound Mod project is accompanied by the following browser extensions, each distributed via the Chrome Web Store. They run locally in your browser and are the components that actually play sounds in response to browsing events:

When installed, an extension may, depending on the features you enable:

• Read information about your tabs and navigation (such as URLs, page-load and tab-switch events) strictly to decide which sound to play. This processing happens on your device; we do not receive a copy of your browsing history through the extension.
• Store presets and preferences locally in browser storage (such as the active preset, volume, mute state, and cached preset definitions). This data stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the extension or clear extension storage.
• Communicate with this website's public APIs to fetch the catalog of presets and related metadata you choose to install. Such requests are subject to the same logging described in Section 3 (technical and usage data).
• Communicate with your account on this websiteonly if you sign in and explicitly link an extension to your account (for example, to sync "My presets"). No account data is sent without that explicit action.

Neither extension sells personal data and neither transmits your browsing history to us. The authoritative description of permissions, data uses, and any changes for each extension is its listing on the Chrome Web Store linked above; in case of a conflict between in-store disclosures and this page about an extension, the store listing prevails for the extension itself, while this Privacy Policy continues to govern the website and related web APIs.

13. California and US state privacy rights

If you are a resident of California or another US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have additional rights (for example, to know categories of personal information collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of certain types of "sale" or "sharing" as defined by law).
